Hans Lobert, given name John Bernard, known as "Honus" (October 18, 1881 – September 14, 1968). He was born in Wilmington, Delaware and died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He stood 5 feet 9 inches and weighed 170 pounds. He batted and threw right-handed. He debuted in the majors in 1903 and played his last big-league season in 1917, a stretch of 15 seasons, primarily with the Cincinnati Reds of the National League. After his playing days he managed in the majors from 1938 through 1942.
