Harold Joseph "Hal" McNamara (1888–1937) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman born in Randolph, Ontario. He began his career with the Canadian Soo Algonquins of the International Hockey League in 1905–06, and went on to play for clubs including the Renfrew Creamery Kings, Toronto Ontarios, and Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey Association. In December 1908, he was among the Edmonton Hockey Club's players who participated in an unsuccessful Stanley Cup challenge against the Montreal Wanderers. He retired in 1917. Two of his brothers, George and Howard, also played professional hockey. McNamara died in Lima, Peru in 1937.
