Dossier
Harold "Harry" Oliver (October 26, 1898 – June 16, 1985) was a Canadian ice hockey right winger who played in the National Hockey League for the Boston Bruins and New York Americans. Born in Selkirk, Manitoba, he played earlier in the Western Canada Hockey League before his rights were acquired by Boston when that league folded in 1926. In eight seasons with the Bruins (1926–1934) he led the team in scoring for three consecutive years and was a member of Boston's first Stanley Cup championship in 1929. He scored the first playoff overtime goal in Bruins history in 1930 and was the first player to reach 100 goals as a Bruin. He finished his career with three seasons for the New York Americans, retiring in 1937, and was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1967.
