Herb Clarke

Herbert Secord Clarke (September 22, 1887 – June 25, 1938) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. He played amateur hockey with the University of Toronto before turning professional in the TPHL and NHA with the Cobalt Silver Kings. During the 1908–09 season he led the TPHL in scoring with 27 goals, tied with Haileybury's Harry Smith. He finished tied for fifth in scoring in the 1910 NHA season, then retired at 22 despite recruitment interest from the Ottawa Senators and Renfrew Creamery Kings. Clarke died in Boston on June 25, 1938.
