Herb Mitchell (1895-1969) was a Canadian ice hockey player who played 44 games with the Boston Bruins in the National Hockey League between 1924 and 1926. In 1924 he became the first player to sign a contract with the expansion Bruins. Over his two seasons in Boston he scored six goals. The remainder of his career, which lasted from 1918 to 1928, was spent in minor leagues, and in 1926-27 he served as player-coach of the New Haven Eagles.
