Jack Aker

Jackie Delane Aker was born on July 13, 1940, in Tulare, California, and attended Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia before going on to the College of Sequoias. A right-handed relief pitcher, Aker played in Major League Baseball across parts of several seasons for the Kansas City and Oakland Athletics, Seattle Pilots, New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, Atlanta Braves, and New York Mets. A multi-sport athlete in his youth, he earned all-league recognition in both baseball and football at the high school level before focusing on professional baseball.
