Jack Brownschidle

Jack Brownschidle is an American defenseman born in Buffalo, New York on October 2, 1955. He played collegiate hockey at the University of Notre Dame before turning professional, going on to appear in 494 NHL games with the St. Louis Blues and Hartford Whalers between 1977 and 1985. During his time in St. Louis he set single-season franchise records for assists and points by a defenseman — 32 assists and 44 points in 1979–80, and 33 assists in 1981–82, all since broken. He also represented the United States at the 1975 and 1979 World Championships.
