Jack Hill, known as "the Deacon," was a professional football player from Ogden, Utah who attended Utah State University. He joined the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League in 1957 and had a standout 1958 season, earning all-star honors and the Dave Dryburgh Memorial Trophy. That year he set a professional football record with 145 points on 16 touchdowns, 36 converts, 4 field goals, and a rouge. Injuries hampered his final three seasons with Saskatchewan. His contract was sold to the Denver Broncos in 1961, where he caught 4 passes in 14 games.
