John Travilla Ramsay (February 21, 1925 – April 28, 2014), known as "Dr. Jack," was an American basketball coach who earned his nickname from a doctorate he held. A graduate of Upper Darby High School, he attended Saint Joseph's College before three years of U.S. Navy service interrupted his college career. Ramsay went on to coach in the NBA, leading the Portland Trail Blazers to the 1977 NBA championship. He later worked as a broadcaster for the Indiana Pacers, the Miami Heat, and ESPN. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and received the Chuck Daly Lifetime Achievement Award for the 2009–10 NBA season.
