Jackie Mayo was an American Major League Baseball outfielder who played for the Philadelphia Phillies from 1948 to 1953. He graduated from Notre Dame in 1947 before signing with the Phillies as an amateur free agent. Over 139 games he batted .213 with one home run and 12 RBI. Mayo was a member of the 1950 National League pennant-winning Phillies, the team known as the Whiz Kids, and he appeared in the 1950 World Series, drawing a walk against Allie Reynolds as a pinch hitter. His career fell in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
