Edward Joseph Pfeffer (March 4, 1888 – August 15, 1972). A native of Seymour, Illinois, he died in Chicago, Illinois. Standing 6-foot-3 and listed at 210 pounds, batted right-handed and threw right. He worked the major leagues from 1911 through 1924, spending the bulk of his career with the Brooklyn Robins of the National League. His professional career stretched from 1909 to 1929, bracketing his big-league time with seasons in the minors at both ends. Among collectors of the era, his card appearance is anchored by the T206 White Border issue. He is interred at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois.
