Jerry Campbell

Gerald "Soupy" Campbell (1944-2017) was an American football linebacker who played in the Canadian Football League for the Calgary Stampeders from 1966 to 1968 and the Ottawa Rough Riders from 1968 to 1975. He played college football at the University of Idaho. Campbell was named a CFL All-Star for seven consecutive years from 1969 to 1975 and was part of three Grey Cup championship teams with Ottawa, in 1968, 1969, and 1973. A team captain, he anchored the Rough Riders' defensive unit known as "Capital Punishment." He was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1996.
