Jerry Johnson

Dossier
Jerry Michael Johnson (December 3, 1943 – November 15, 2021) was a right-handed pitcher who spent parts of several seasons in Major League Baseball. Originally signed by the New York Mets as a third baseman in 1962, Johnson was converted to pitcher by 1964 after struggling defensively in the low minors. He worked his way through the Mets organization before the Philadelphia Phillies selected him in the 1967 minor league draft. Johnson went on to pitch for seven MLB clubs — the Phillies, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Cleveland Indians, Houston Astros, San Diego Padres, and Toronto Blue Jays.
