Jerry Reuss
Dossier
Jerry Reuss (born June 19, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri) was a left-handed pitcher in Major League Baseball who spent parts of five decades in the game. He played for eight franchises, including the St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros, Pittsburgh Pirates, and most prominently the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he pitched from 1979 to 1987. With Los Angeles, he was part of the 1981 World Series championship team that defeated the New York Yankees. Reuss finished his career with 200 wins despite never winning 20 games in a single season, becoming only the second pitcher in history to reach that milestone under those circumstances.
