Jerry Gordon Sturm (December 31, 1936 – June 17, 2020) was a professional football player who originally entered the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign on a basketball scholarship before joining the football program. He began his professional career in the Canadian Football League with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (1958) and Calgary Stampeders (1959–1960), then spent six seasons in the AFL with the Denver Broncos (1961–1966), earning AFL All-Star honors in 1964 and 1966. He later played in the NFL for the New Orleans Saints (1967–1970), Houston Oilers (1971), and Philadelphia Eagles (1972). In 1971, he was offered a $10,000 bribe to fix a game and instead reported the scheme to the FBI.
