James Charles Gosger (born November 6, 1942, in Port Huron, Michigan) was a left-handed outfielder who played ten seasons in major league baseball between 1963 and 1974. He attended St. Stephen High School and St. Clair County Community College before signing with the Boston Red Sox in January 1962. A large signing bonus placed him on Boston's major-league roster in 1963 under baseball's bonus rule, limiting him to 19 games that year. Over his career he appeared for five organizations: the Red Sox, Kansas City/Oakland Athletics, Seattle Pilots, New York Mets, and Montreal Expos.
