James Alexander McFadden (April 15, 1920 – August 22, 2002) was a Canadian professional ice hockey forward born in Belfast, United Kingdom, and raised in Darlingford, Manitoba. One of six players born in Ireland to appear in the National Hockey League, McFadden began his career with the Portland Buckaroos of the Pacific Coast Hockey League before stints in the Quebec Senior Hockey League with the Montreal Sr. Canadiens and Ottawa Senators. He served three years with the Canadian Army during the war. After averaging better than a point per game with the Buffalo Bisons in the AHL, he went on to play for the Detroit Red Wings and Chicago Black Hawks from 1947 to 1954.
