James Jerome O'Toole (January 10, 1937 – December 26, 2015) was a right-handed pitcher who spent his 10-year Major League Baseball career with the Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox. Born on Chicago's South Side, O'Toole attended Leo High School before earning a baseball scholarship to the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He sharpened his game in the Basin League in 1957, posting a 9–1 record for the Mitchell Kerns, which drew the attention of Cincinnati scouts. He signed with the Reds for a $50,000 bonus and was assigned to the Double-A Nashville Vols in 1958. His younger brother Denny O'Toole also reached the majors.
