Jim Shofner

Jim Shofner (December 18, 1935 – July 17, 2021) played college football at Texas Christian University, where he led the Southwest Conference in rushing in 1957 with 682 yards and six touchdowns. The Cleveland Browns selected him in the first round of the 1958 draft, and he became a starting cornerback in 1959. He spent six seasons with Cleveland before retiring in 1964. Shofner later moved into coaching, serving as head coach at TCU from 1974 to 1976 and as interim head coach of the Cleveland Browns in 1990.
