Born March 15, 1972, in Hampton, Virginia, Mike Tomlin served as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers from 2007 to 2025. Over 19 seasons, he never finished with a losing record — the longest such streak in NFL history. He began his NFL coaching career as a defensive assistant with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings before joining Pittsburgh. With the Steelers, Tomlin reached 13 playoff appearances, eight division titles, three AFC Championship Games, and won Super Bowl XLIII. At 36, he was the youngest head coach to win the Super Bowl at the time.
