Jim Wiste

Jim Wiste (February 18, 1946 – January 2, 2018) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who competed in the NHL between 1968 and 1971. He starred at the University of Denver, earning WCHA First-Team All-Star and NCAA First-Team All-American honors in both 1966–67 and 1967–68, and helped Denver win the 1968 NCAA Championship over North Dakota. Signed by the Chicago Black Hawks as a free agent in 1968 alongside Denver teammates Keith Magnuson and Cliff Koroll, he later played for the Vancouver Canucks as an original roster member upon their 1970 NHL expansion, and also skated for the WHA's Cleveland Crusaders and Indianapolis Racers before retiring in 1976.
