Joel Edward Horlen (August 14, 1937 – April 10, 2022) was a right-handed pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1961 to 1972, spending the bulk of his career with the Chicago White Sox before finishing with the Oakland Athletics. A product of Oklahoma State University, where he was part of the 1959 College World Series championship team, Horlen led all American League pitchers in ERA from 1964 to 1968, posting a 2.32 mark over that span. He finished his career with 116 wins, a 3.11 ERA, and 1,065 strikeouts across 2,002 innings.
