Joe Lundrigan is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman born September 12, 1948, in Newfoundland. He played 52 NHL games split between the Toronto Maple Leafs and Washington Capitals during the 1972–73 and 1974–75 seasons, having been claimed by Washington in the 1974 NHL Expansion Draft after originally signing with Toronto in 1971. The bulk of his career, which ran from 1967 to 1986, was spent in the minor leagues. In 1971–72 with the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League, he was named the club's top defenceman and earned a spot on the league's second all-star team. He won two all-Newfoundland senior hockey championships with the Corner Brook Royals and was inducted into the Newfoundland and Labrador Hockey Hall of Fame in 1995.
