John Bednarski

John Bednarski (born July 4, 1952, in Thunder Bay, Ontario) is a Canadian former ice hockey defenceman who played in the NHL for the New York Rangers and Edmonton Oilers from 1974 to 1979. After coming up through the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, he signed with the Rangers as a free agent in 1972 and spent time with the Rochester Americans of the AHL before making his NHL debut. He appeared in 99 NHL games across three seasons with the Rangers, recording two goals and 18 assists. He later played one game for the Oilers in their inaugural NHL season. Bednarski was inducted into the Rochester Americans Hall of Fame in 2007.
