John Fuqua

Dossier
John William Fuqua (born September 12, 1947, Detroit, Michigan), nicknamed "Frenchy," was a running back in the NFL from 1969 to 1976. He played college football at Morgan State University before being selected by the New York Giants in the 11th round of the 1969 NFL/AFL draft. He was later traded to the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he became part of NFL history as the intended target on the play known as the Immaculate Reception — Terry Bradshaw's pass that deflected off either Fuqua or Oakland Raiders safety Jack Tatum before Franco Harris caught it for the touchdown.
