John Henry (known as John Ganzel) (April 7, 1874 – January 14, 1959) was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. His professional career ran from 1898 through 1908, placing him squarely in the nineteenth-century professional ranks, and he is most closely identified with the Cincinnati Reds of the NL. He returned to the dugout as a major-league manager from 1908 through 1915. He was listed at 195 pounds. He batted and threw right-handed. For collectors, his most recognized appearance is in the iconic T206 White Border tobacco set issued 1909-11 by the American Tobacco Company. He died on January 14, 1959 in Orlando, Florida and was interred at Cremated.
