John Helton

Helton da Silva Arruda (born 18 May 1978 in São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He developed through Vasco da Gama's youth system and won the Série A and Copa Mercosur with the club in 2000. After signing with Portuguese side União de Leiria in January 2003, he became a first-choice keeper and joined Porto in 2005. Over 14 seasons with Porto, he made 299 Primeira Liga appearances and won 18 major titles with the club. He represented Brazil at the 2007 Copa América.
