John LaGrone

John Wesley LaGrone III (November 4, 1944 – March 27, 2022) was an American professional football player who played defensive tackle in the Canadian Football League. After earning All-American honors at Southern Methodist University, LaGrone joined the Edmonton Eskimos in 1967 and spent his entire eight-year CFL career there through 1974. He was named a Western Conference All-Star six times and a CFL All-Star twice, and won the CFL's Most Outstanding Lineman Award in 1969. Following his playing career, LaGrone served as a judge in Hutchinson County, Texas beginning in 1990.
