John Schella

John Edward Schella (May 9, 1947 – August 3, 2018) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player. After three seasons in the minor leagues, he made his NHL debut in 1970 with the Vancouver Canucks, appearing in 115 NHL games over parts of two seasons. He then joined the Houston Aeros of the World Hockey Association, where he spent six seasons and played 385 WHA games. Schella concluded his playing career with one final minor-league season before retiring in 1979.
