John Alexander Tonelli (born March 23, 1957) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward from Milton, Ontario. He began his professional career at age 18 with the Houston Aeros of the World Hockey Association in 1975, reaching the Avco Cup Final in his rookie season. Tonelli joined the New York Islanders in 1978, where he spent eight seasons as part of a dynasty that won four consecutive Stanley Cups (1980–1983); he delivered the assist on Bob Nystrom's Cup-winning goal in 1980. Traded to the Calgary Flames in 1985–86, he reached the Stanley Cup Final that year. He later played for the Los Angeles Kings, Chicago Blackhawks, and Quebec Nordiques. The Islanders retired his number 27 in 2020.
