John Wright

Shane Wright (born January 5, 2004) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player and centre for the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League. Wright was granted exceptional player status for the 2019–20 OHL season, becoming the sixth player to receive that designation, and was selected first overall by the Kingston Frontenacs in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection. Projected as the likely first overall pick heading into the 2022 NHL Draft, he was instead selected fourth overall by Seattle. Internationally, Wright won gold with Canada at the 2021 World Under-18 Championships and the 2023 World Junior Championships.
