Johnny McKenzie

John Albert McKenzie (December 12, 1937 – June 9, 2018) was a Canadian professional hockey player and coach. Nicknamed "Pie" after a cartoon figure on a Canadian candy bar wrapper, McKenzie played junior hockey with the St. Catharines Teepees of the OHA, leading the league in goals and points in 1958. He made his NHL debut in 1958–59 with the Chicago Black Hawks before moving to the Detroit Red Wings, then spent time in the AHL with the Hershey Bears and Buffalo Bisons. He eventually joined the Boston Bruins, with whom he won two Stanley Cups across his 12 NHL seasons. He entered the WHA in 1972 and played all seven seasons of the league's existence, finishing with the New England Whalers and accumulating 413 points in 477 WHA games.
