Kevin Joyce
Dossier
Kevin Joyce, a 6'3" guard from Bayside, New York, played college basketball at the University of South Carolina. In the 1971 ACC Tournament championship game, he made a key tap-in play in the final seconds to set up a come-from-behind victory over North Carolina. Joyce represented the United States at the 1972 Summer Olympics, where the American team lost a disputed gold-medal game to the Soviet Union and refused to accept the silver medals. He went on to play professionally in the American Basketball Association with the Indiana Pacers, San Diego Sails, and Kentucky Colonels.
