Kitty Bransfield blue background

Kitty Bransfield blue background was born 1875, and died 1947. He was associated with the Philadelphia Phillies of the National League. He batted and threw right-handed. His likeness survives in the cardboard record on the E90-1 American Caramel issue. The E90-1 American Caramel set, issued circa 1909-1911, was one of the largest caramel-card releases of the era and a key competitor to the contemporaneous tobacco issues. Career statistics and full game-by-game records for many deadball-era contributors are incomplete in the surviving sources, leaving the cards themselves as a primary witness to the player's place in the professional game.
