Lawrence Joseph "Laughing Larry" Doyle (July 31, 1886 – March 1, 1974). A native of Caseyville, Illinois, he died in Saranac Lake, New York. Standing 5-foot-10 and listed at 165 pounds, batted left-handed and threw right. He worked the major leagues from 1907 through 1920, spending the bulk of his career with the New York Giants of the National League. His professional career stretched from 1906 to 1922, bracketing his big-league time with seasons in the minors at both ends.
