Dossier
Lawrence Clayton Elkins (born July 28, 1943) played wide receiver for the Houston Oilers of the American Football League. Before turning professional, Elkins was a two-time All-American flanker at Baylor University, where he set an NCAA record with 70 receptions in 1963 and finished his college career with 144 catches for 2,094 yards. He also played safety and returned kicks for the Bears, including a 92-yard punt return against TCU in 1962.
