Larry Glenn Wright (born November 23, 1954) played college basketball for the Grambling State Tigers, earning SWAC Freshman of the Year honors in 1974, two All-SWAC selections, two first-team NCAA Small College All-America nods, and the Southwestern Athletic Conference Player of the Year award in 1976. He went on to play in the NBA with the Washington Bullets and the Detroit Pistons, then spent six seasons playing professionally in Italy. After retiring as a player, Wright returned to Grambling State as an assistant coach from 1990 to 1992 and later served as head coach from 1999 to 2008.
