Lee Roy Selmon (1954–2011) played defensive end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 1976 to 1984. Before turning professional, he played defensive tackle at the University of Oklahoma, where he was a consensus All-American in 1974 and 1975 and part of consecutive national championship teams. The Buccaneers selected him first overall in the 1976 NFL Draft, making him the top pick of that expansion franchise. He spent his entire nine-season NFL career in Tampa Bay. Selmon was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1988 and the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1995.
