Leon McQuay (March 19, 1950 – November 29, 1995) was a running back who played college football at the University of Tampa from 1968 to 1970, where he was the second Black athlete to receive a scholarship. Known as "All the Way" McQuay, he rushed for 3,039 yards and 37 touchdowns in his college career, earning first-team Little All-America honors in 1970. He was inducted into the University of Tampa Sports Hall of Fame in 1983. McQuay skipped his senior season to sign with the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League in 1971, where the 5-foot-9, 200-pound back — nicknamed "X-ray" — rushed for 977 yards at a 7.1 yards-per-carry average and earned CFL All-Star recognition.
