Elwood Lewis (known as Lew Richie) (August 23, 1883 – August 15, 1936) was born in Ambler, Pennsylvania. His professional career ran from 1906 through 1913, placing him squarely in the deadball era, and he is most closely identified with the Chicago Cubs of the NL. After his major-league days ended in 1913, he continued in professional ball through 1914. He was listed at 5'8" and 165 pounds. He batted and threw right-handed. For collectors, his most recognized appearance is in the E90-1 American Caramel set. He died on August 15, 1936 in Quincy Township, Pennsylvania and was interred at Rose Hill Cemetery in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
