Marino Pieretti was a Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher who played from 1945 to 1950. He pitched for the Washington Senators (1945-1948), Chicago White Sox (1948-1949), and Cleveland Indians (1950). Over his career he compiled a 30-38 record with a 4.53 ERA, 188 strikeouts across 673 2/3 innings, 21 complete games, and eight saves. Known for a sidearm, submarine-style delivery, he had his best season as a rookie in 1945, winning 14 games with 14 complete games and three shutouts. Before reaching the majors he pitched in the Pacific Coast League, winning 26 games for the 1944 Portland Beavers. Pieretti played in the immediate post-World War II era of the late 1940s.
