Francis Marion Campbell (May 25, 1929 – July 13, 2016) was an American football player and coach in the National Football League. He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs from 1949 to 1951, where he was nicknamed "Swamp Fox" after Revolutionary War general Francis Marion. As a defensive lineman he played for the San Francisco 49ers from 1954 to 1955 and the Philadelphia Eagles from 1956 to 1961, earning Pro Bowl honors in 1959 and 1960 and first-team All-Pro selection in 1960 as part of the Eagles' championship team. He later served as a defensive coordinator and head coach in the league, with head coaching stints for the Atlanta Falcons from 1974 to 1976 and again from 1987 to 1989, and for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1983 to 1985. He compiled a record of 34 wins, 80 losses, and 1 tie as an NFL head coach.
