Marv Bateman (born April 5, 1950) was a punter in the National Football League who played college football at the University of Utah. A two-time first-team All-American — the first Utah player to earn that distinction in consecutive years — he led the nation in punting in his final two college seasons and set school records with a 48.07-yard average and 3,269 total punt yards as a senior. He also kicked a school-record 59-yard field goal. Bateman was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the third round of the 1972 NFL Draft and later played for the Buffalo Bills.
