Maurice Robinson

David Maurice Robinson, known as "the Admiral," played center in the NBA from 1989 to 2003, spending his entire career with the San Antonio Spurs after serving an active-duty obligation with the U.S. Navy following his time at the United States Naval Academy. Selected first overall in the 1987 NBA Draft, Robinson earned ten All-Star selections, the 1995 NBA MVP award, and two NBA championships with San Antonio in 1999 and 2003. He also won Olympic gold medals in 1992 and 1996 and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009.
