Mayo Smith

Coby Gerald Mayo (born December 10, 2001) is an American professional baseball third baseman and first baseman for the Baltimore Orioles of Major League Baseball, where he made his debut in 2024. A product of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, Mayo hit .388 with seven home runs as a sophomore and .391 with four home runs as a junior before batting .455 in a senior season cut short by the COVID-19 pandemic. Selected by Baltimore in the fourth round (103rd overall) of the 2020 draft, he signed for $1.75 million, foregoing a commitment to the University of Florida.
