Mel Profit (born July 30, 1941) is an American former professional Canadian football player who spent six years in the Canadian Football League. Originally selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the 1963 NFL Draft, Profit instead played tight end for the Toronto Argonauts in the CFL. He authored *For Love, Money and Future Considerations*, a player's-eye account of the 1971 season in which the Argonauts reached the Grey Cup, ultimately losing to the Calgary Stampeders.
