Michael Richard Roach (1895–1977) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who spent eight seasons in the National Hockey League with the Toronto St. Pats, Hamilton Tigers, and New York Americans. Born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, he grew up in Boston, Massachusetts. Roach is co-holder of the NHL record for most goals scored in a single period, netting four goals and adding an assist against the Quebec Bulldogs on March 6, 1920, while playing for Toronto. After retiring from hockey, he played in the Cape Breton Professional Baseball League as a left-handed performer at first and third base. He is an original inductee of the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame.
