Mike Cacic

Dossier
Mike Cacic was a Canadian football defensive lineman who played ten seasons in the Canadian Football League with the BC Lions from 1957 to 1967. Born in Vancouver to Croatian immigrant parents, he played junior football in the Lower Mainland rather than at the college level. Injuries marked his early career, including an ankle injury and a knee injury that cost him the entire 1959 season. From 1960 onward he played all 16 games in five of six seasons and was a Western Conference all-star from 1964 to 1966. He was part of the Lions' 1964 Grey Cup-winning team. He was later named to the BC Lions 50th Anniversary Dream Team and the team's Wall of Fame.
