Mike Epstein

Michael Peter Epstein (born April 4, 1943, in the Bronx, New York) is a Jewish former professional baseball player who spent his Major League Baseball career with the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Senators/Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics, and California Angels. Raised in the Fairfax District of Los Angeles, he attended Fairfax High School, graduating in 1961, where he competed in both baseball and football, earning back-to-back All-Western League second-team honors from the Helms Athletic Foundation. He went on to attend the University of California, Berkeley on a football scholarship. He was widely known by the nickname "Super Jew."
