Mike Haynes

Michael James Haynes (born July 1, 1953) played cornerback in the NFL for fourteen seasons with the New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Raiders. He earned NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 1976 and went on to make nine Pro Bowl appearances, earning two first-team All-Pro selections alongside five consecutive second-team All-Pro nods from 1976 through 1980. Haynes was also a notable punt returner throughout his career. He was named to the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team and the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team in 1994. Haynes was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1997 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2000.
